ALERT! : Car Park Safety! As a community, we need to be mindful of the increase in the number of electric and hybrid vehicles, leading to an increased risk of accidents occurring due to the lack of engine noise. When cars are backing out, drivers should be mindful to check for cross traffic behind them, meaning pedestrians as well as other vehicles. It has been brought to our attention that EV and Hybrid vehicles are silent, and due diligence should be observed by both drivers and pedestrians to avoid any unforeseen accidents

“How Beautiful are the Feet”:
On Sunday, 12th October, I have the great privilege to accept the invitation from Cythina Gusman Nolan, who is currently studying at St Francis College and will share with us her exciting assessment she is doing as part of her Art in Christianity unit of study.
Cythina writes:
“I have been given the opportunity to create a piece of art as my assessment. Rather than writing another paper, this assessment allows me to engage creatively with Scripture—a process I am deeply excited about.
The inspiration for my work comes from Romans 10:15:
“…as it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’”
This verse has profoundly shaped my reflection. In our culture, feet are often hidden, considered unattractive, or associated with shame. Yet in Scripture, feet are given dignity and beauty, particularly when they carry the Gospel. According to Accordance (NRSV with Strong’s), the word feet appears 257 times in the Bible, symbolising humility, service, vulnerability, and movement in God’s mission.
The Art Project
I am creating a photographic montage featuring the bare feet of Christians. Each participant's feet will be photographed - barefoot—without adornment or polish—to highlight authenticity and vulnerability. Alongside the photography, I will ask each person to reflect on how they felt being photographed, what initial thoughts they had, and why they think Scripture places such emphasis on feet.
These individual images will form part of a larger montage depicting the feet of Jesus on the cross.
The subtext of the piece is:
“Jesus’ feet, once washed with perfume and tears, were later pierced and bloodied so that ours might be called beautiful.”
The aim is not only to create a piece of art but also to invite participants and viewers into deeper reflection on vulnerability, beauty, and the Gospel we carry.
Let us welcome Cythina to explore this interesting project.

An Update from Tim: Soon the 34 Destitute Widows will be preparing their small fields for the coming rains. They will need to plant enough corn to feed themselves and the orphans for the next 12 months. That will be their only source of food. Without it they will starve as there is no government assistance. Each of them will need a 5kg bag of seed, and a 50kg bag of fertilizer, cost $125.
“What God the Father considers to be pure and genuine religion is this: to take care of orphans and widows in their suffering …” James 1:27
Thank you for your compassion as you show God’s love.
